Italian shoppers bought 20 percent more organic food in 2015, and 62 percent would pay a premium for organic products. Meanwhile, sales of gluten-free products were up 50 percent. Sixty-five percent of consumers would pay extra for foods guaranteed free from GMOs and 70 percent would pay a premium for ‘fully natural’ food.
